Went to the Quinnipiac vs. Hartford game last night, a double overtime thriller that ended with an 85-79 Bobcats victory. To help those who don’t know which team that means won, Quinnipiac took home the win thanks to 19 points each from James Feldeine and Bryan Geffen (Harford’s mascot is Howie the Hawk).
The win was Quinnipiac Head Coach Tom Moore’s first victory as a Division I head coach after spending 13 years under Jim Calhoun at Connecticut. Calhoun was not in attendance for the game, which surprised me a little bit since Moore worked for him for so long. The 42-year old was given significant credit for the successful recruiting that Connecticut has enjoyed over the past decade and he is now looking to build up the program at Quinnipiac.
The Bobcats’ next game will be at Binghamton on Wednesday, November 14th at 7pm.
