Garnett Not a True Celtic Yet

I’ve read many different articles and heard plenty of commentators on TV reference Kevin Garnett as the key to the Celtics turnaround this year and so far I can’t disagree with them. What I can disagree with is when people say things like “it feels as if KG’s always been a Celtic,” or “it’s hard to picture him playing for any other team.” Well you know what? I can.

Kevin Garnett spent the first 12 seasons with the Minnesota Timberwolves, not the Boston Celtics. He has played 41 games for the New England club versus 927 for Minnesota; his scoring average is the lowest it has been since the 1997-98 season, his rebounding numbers are the lowest since that same year, assists are below every season since 1996-97 and he has tied his career low in blocks per game.

Though many people have forgotten that he dedicated his life to helping the Timberwolves win, it looks like Yahoo! Sports forgot that he was traded to Boston, as shown by the video they have up right now titled “Stars Set for All Star Game.”

Thank you Yahoo! Sports for not forgetting.
