Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson apparently feels “betrayed” by head coach Marvin Lewis and wants to be traded from the only team he has ever played for. Johnson, who is one of the most dynamic receivers in the league, finished third last season in the NFL with 1,440 receiving yards.
At this point, I think the Jets have to make a play for Ocho Cinco. They have been gravely lacking a big time receiver for years, no matter how fast and reliable Laveranues Coles, Santana Moss and Jerricho Cotchery have been. Now that Chad Pennington should be out of the picture for the strong-armed Kellen Clemens, Johnson would be a fantastic fit in New York and I’m sure would be a great addition to the New York sports scene.
